Sound the trumpet!

Psalms 112:7-8 TPT
“They will not live in fear or dread of what may come, for their hearts are firm, ever secure in
their faith. Steady and strong, they will not be afraid, but will calmly face their every foe until they
all go down in defeat.”

In biblical times, the trumpet was a ram’s horn or “Shofar” which was blown on important Jewish
religious occasions. It was also used in musical processions & to signal the start of war.

I was led to the scripture in Zechariah 9:14 NKJV
“Then the Lord will be seen over them, and His arrow will go forth like lightning. The Lord God
will blow the trumpet, And go with whirlwinds from the south.”
Here we see God sounding the trumpet & going to war against the enemies of the children of
Israel.

As New Testament believers, we know that Jesus triumphed over the enemy through His death,
resurrection & ascension. So we are victorious because of Him!
II Corinthians 2:14 NKJV “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and
through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”

In our healing journeys, we have to actively fight against fear & anxiety that arise due to
symptoms. Those symptoms are our enemies. What does it look like to “sound the trumpet”
today? For me, it’s to CHOOSE to focus on God, rather than the enemy. Play worship music (&
if you have the strength, sing & dance to it), read & meditate on the promises of God, pray in the
Spirit, build your faith (Rom 10:17 “Faith comes by hearing & hearing by the word of God”) – so
listen to good teachings. Actively engage against your enemies. SOUND THE TRUMPET!

Blessings
